Home reminds me of my primary five days, ever enthusiastic about waving my flag with my friends and singing my lungs out to everything from Singapura O Singapura sunny island set in the sea to stand up for singapore during national day celebrations. What fond memories.

NDP preview back then was an unforgettable experience that i will love to revisit, albeit the blistering heat endured under the afternoon sun at kallang stadium.

The fireworks, colourful balloons and the cheery atmosphere of singaporeans in RED gathering to celebrate the nation's birthday made up for everything else. The sight of people digging their goodie bags and complaining about what was or wasn't inside also made me laugh at how SINGAPOREAN that was.

Funny how we crack jokes about the most amusing yet malu (embarassing) bits of our own identities all the time--tissue seat chopping, free gift must take and phua chu kang MRT campaigns. Yet these little things just put a smile on my face and makes me feel extra unique to call the little red dot my home.
